Trees still stand tall!

My niece Tina, her hubby Dario, plus Athena, & Darius drove from the SF Bay Area to Stockton today. Thank-you, Diane, for cupcakes :-) Some of you remember Athena as the youngest traveler to Harvard graduation festivities.

Many thanks to everyone for messages, calls, texts, and activities above and beyond (you know who you are who xeroxed and delivered letters, took photos, and more). Sending much appreciation ... with hope (as ToniAnne noted).

Dear Joanie:

It is with deep regrets that I read the letter from Trinity, re: the removal of trees in favor of a parking lot. We live in a world that is constantly ripped apart by forces driven by their own private agendas and those that triumph in this regards have used the power of persuation, publicity and money to propagate their desirss and plans.

Think that if the powers in the urban development sectors could convinced the city of New York, they will turn Central Park into a subdivision or condomium and expensive estates. Fortunately for now, we do not see that happening; but what about 100 years from now?

I hope that they do put appropriate markers to remind people who visit and future Trinity generations that once were those trees that stand anad that they were taken away in the name of "improving" the landscape of the facility.

"A tree that looks at God all day;
and spread its leafy arms to pray,
a tee that may in summer wear
a nest of robins in her hair."

May this be a reminder to all of us that like people a tree is God's gift to us and will save us in a dangerously modwre urban setting.

Talk to you agaian when we meet.
